Q: I'm an independent artist. What can QopelRecords do for me?
A: QopelRecords can create your music NFTs, Mint them on the blockchain and send them to your crypto wallet
Q: What do you mean by "NFT"?
A: NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. Basically it's a digital piece of information on the crypto blockchain that can't be duplicated or changed. Once it is "minted", it is there forever.
Q: Why do I need an NFT?
A: NFTs are valuable, since they are one-of-a-kind. If you have a song, it can be copied and stolen over and over. If you have an NFT of that song, only one will exist and only one person can own it. That makes it a very rare piece of art!
Q: Aren't NFT.s just for pictures?
A: No! NFTs can be pictures, text, music or video. If you are an independent artist or unsigned band and you want something very unique and special, NFTs are for you. As demand for your music goes up, the value of your NFTs will go up as well.
Q: I still don't get it. Explain to me what this is.
A: NFTs can be a hard concept to understand at first. Look at it this way: When you buy a car, you get a title that proves the car is yours. Sure, you can copy the title, but if somebody copies it, that doesn't make them the owner of your car. So if you have an mp3 of your song, people can copy it, just like the title of the car can be copied. The thing is, the title of the car is registered with the DMV, so having a copy of the title isn't really valuable. If you have an NFT of your mp3, it's like registering it with the DMV, but you are registering it on the crypto blockchain, which is tamper proof.
Q: This all sounds great, how do I do this?
A: All you have to do is send us your mp3s and album cover art and we will do the rest! We will make the NFT and "mint" it to the blockchain. Once it is minted, we will send the NFTs to your crypto wallet when you can keep them, give them to others or sell them.
Q: I don't know much about all this. What is a crypto wallet? How do I sell my NFTs?
A: A crypto wallet is a place to store digital currency like Bitcoin and also NFTs. They are easy to set up on your smartphone. We recommend Coinbase wallet or Trust Wallet. Available for IOS or Android. Once you have your NFTs in your wallet, you can go to websites like Open Sea or Rarible and connect your wallet to them. Your NFTs will appear there and you can set up a price or an auction to sell your NFTs to the public!
Q: OK...so what are you doing that I can't do myself?
A: You can do pretty much everything yourself. The thing is, it will take you lots of time and money to accomplish this, especially if you are a beginner. We most likely will do a better job, since we have been doing this for some time with success.
Q: How much does this cost?
